Our estate, El Vallecito is located in a unique and privileged region of Argentina. It is surrounded by a mountain range that belongs to the Tandilia System, one of the world’s oldest formations, dating back 2200 million years.
Balcarce, one of the 135 districts that make up the Buenos Aires province, is located southeast of the city of Buenos Aires (Argentina), in the central area of the Tandilia system.

Between 115 and 137 m (380-450 ft) above sea level.
ELEVATION
Temperatures throughout the growing season range from 29 °C (84 °F) during the day to 14 °C (57 °F) at night, providing ideal conditions for the development of red and white strains.
CLIMATE
We take great care of all aspects of the production process, including training, pruning, grape loading, and defoliation. Always keeping our major aim in mind to produce high quality grapes while preserving the plant’s life in the long term.
VINEYARDS
We produce around 20,000 liters of wine per year and have 12 ha (30 acres) planted with: Chardonnay, Riesling, Albariño, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Bonarda, and Tannat.
VARIETIES PLANTED
Harvesting is done in sections, without using machinery. We begin by picking the white grapes, and then move on to red ones.

We encourage continuous training among our staff to overcome the challenges this terroir brings to our vineyard.

OUR SOIL
We dig a lot of test pits, do physical analysis, and use soil conductivity mapping to fully understand the kind of treasure that lies beneath our feet. We have been assisted by external consultants Lydia and Claude Bourguignon, renowned terroir experts, and we continue working with specialists in the area.
LIMESTONE IN EL VALLECITO
Our limestone soil is of pedogenetic and groundwater origin, and the product of biological action by microorganisms. It is spread heterogeneously across El Vallecito.
